CRAYFISH (astacus astacus)  FROM LAKE MIEKOJÄRVI IN ARCTIC CIRCLE IN TORNE RIVER VALLEY

The crayfish, which is relatively rare in Finland, occurs in Miekojärvi. River crayfish can be caught from the beginning of the craw fishing season on July 21. from now until the beginning of September. River crayfish are caught in traps.

It is only possible to buy crayfish alive.

Crayfish Lapland Wild Fish offers by size category as follows:

• 10.5 – 11 cm      4.50 € / pc
• 11 – 12 cm             5.50 € / pc
• over 12 cm          7.50   € / pc

Prices (incl. VAT 14%) are freely available in the Miekojärvi fishing harbor at Pello’s Sirkkakoski.
