ROACH

Roach is available from Lake Miekojärvi from March to June and September to October.

Roach is caught with fyke nets and fish traps. Roach is a delicious ingredient in fish patties and fish balls. Traditionally, it is prepared whole in the oven. Roach is considered high in nutritional value.
